55px-Caff Free Diet cke can

Caffeine-Free Diet Coke was introduced in 1983 as a non-caffeinated variant of Coca-Cola. This was introduced to compete against Pepsi Free, which is now called Caffeine-Free Pepsi. Along with the lack of caffeine, this version holds five fewer grams of sugar than the original. This is also the first version of caffeine-free Diet Coke and the first extension of the Diet Coke formula.
